Off to Switzerland (Little)

Finally made it to Switzerland! At least North Carolina Switzerland! A quaint little town with spectacular views! Little Switzerland made Rustburg look "big"! However you must add this destinaton to your bucket list.

Reached a goal today

Just recently my husband Tommy and I purchased bicycles. We enjoy riding on the trails downtown Lynchburg. I set a goal for myself when we began to ride, that I would ride the length of the trial by the end of the summer. I was able to accomplish my goal today (much earlier than I expected). We rode the entire trail! So all I have to say is Ta Daaaaaaaa! Now off to set another goal for myself!:)

What's in a Name?

My name is Valinda.I get called all kinds of things like Melinda, Balinda, Vanessa, Valeria. Most people have a difficult time remembering my name because it's so unusual.  My grandmother mispronounced my name once and called me Vanilla. Funny thing about that is, she's the one who chose my name. My husband gets a big kick out of introducing me as "Vanilla" to strangers.

23 Things

I work for Campbell County Public Library. The Library Director has challenged the staff to learn 23 new things in one year. Learning how to blog is one of the first things on the To Do List. I must admit I'm learning a lot and having fun at it! How cool is that???
