What's in a Name?
My name is Valinda.I get called all kinds of things like Melinda, Balinda, Vanessa, Valeria. Most people have a difficult time remembering my name because it's so unusual. My grandmother mispronounced my name once and called me Vanilla. Funny thing about that is, she's the one who chose my name. My husband gets a big kick out of introducing me as "Vanilla" to strangers.

You'd think my name would be easy, but remember when that patron on the phone misheard me (I'm guessing...) and said, "Wow, that is an unusual name!" I just let it go, and then when he sent the fax, it was addressed to "Ackie".
